Let's Talk! Encouraging Conversations about Sex and Sexuality

Conversations about sexuality and healthy relationships are necessary and rewarding, especially within families. Join LNCS parent Jill Farris for this fun and interactive gathering. Jill, the Director of Adolescent Sexual Health Training & Education at the University of Minnesota's Healthy Youth Development - Prevention Research Center, will help parents explore their own experiences with sexual health education, identify values and messages they would like to pass on to their children, and leave with strategies for opening up the lines of communication about this important, but sometimes uncomfortable topic. This gathering will help parents gain information, tools, and support to raise well-informed children who make healthy sexual decisions throughout their lives. Ticket fee includes pizza, appetizers, and one drink ticket per person. Scholarships are available.
